US INNOVATION NEEDED TO MEET 2050 CLIMATE GOALS: The White House has prioritized five areas to launch the Net-Zero Game Changers Initiative, which aims to support key areas where transformative progress can help the US reach its 2050 climate goal and support global decarbonization. The five areas include efficient building heating & cooling, net-zero aviation, net-zero power grid and electrification, fusion energy at scale, and industrial products and fuels for a net-zero circular economy; learn more HERE.
(OPINION) IN UKRAINE, VICTORY IS THE ONLY OPTION: Facing the reality that negotiations with Russia would likely not be fruitful, the only plausible way to end the war is for the US to help the Ukrainians expel the Russians from the country and provide the technology and defense systems needed. Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson shares what he thinks is next in Ukraine HERE.
THE CASE FOR EXPORTING US CLEAN TECH: The Inflation Reduction Act mobilized $374 billion to accelerate the deployment of clean energy technologies, but US domestic action alone will not stave off the worst effects of climate change. To bend the global emissions curve, however, there stands a great opportunity for the US to export these innovations to other nations, strengthening domestic manufacturing while strengthening international climate action. Learn more about the tech needed and opportunity HERE.
