US EFFORT TO ARM TAIWAN FACES NEW CHALLENGE: The conflict in Ukraine is exacerbating a nearly $19 billion backlog of weapons bound for Taiwan, running up against the longer-term demands of a US strategy to arm Taiwan to defend itself against a possible invasion by China. DIA FORMS CHINA MISSION GROUP: The Defense Intelligence Agency is forming a China Mission Group to monitor competition with China and plans to move resources including people, communications, and technology to the Pacific region. Talks to extend the military intelligence agency’s footprint are already underway with friendly nations. Learn more about the new group and where they will be focusing their resources HERE.

UKRAINE WAR SPURS VALUE ARMS PRODUCTION: The world’s biggest defense companies are scaling up production of cheaper and faster systems and munitions to meet the sustained demand triggered by the war in Ukraine.
